Hi *,
I have next problem with compiling of OpenOffice under Fedora 10.
Compiling with enabled Java failed (I did not save error message, but I
guess that it was something like "out of scope" from some source code
files, so compilation error). I am using java-1.6.0-openjdk.x86_64. So n
I am compiling now OOo with disabled Java.
I also had troubles with the OpenJDK on Fedora 10, so I downloaded Sun's
JDK and everything worked fine.
You can download the .bin (not the .rpm) from Sun's site, extract in
your home dir, and configure --with-jdk-home=<absolute path to JDK home>.
If you are a Java developer, you may also want to install Sun's JDK
system-wide in /opt, and then run /usr/sbin/alternatives (first
--install, then --config).
