[dev] Java API differences between 2.4 and 3.x

What are the Java API differences between 2.4 and 3.x?   I wrote software
using the 2.4 sdk, and it uses the 2.4 runtime.   Should I expect problems
compiling/running my 2.4 designed programs against v3?
