I'm also interested into converting from OO into PDF, but I have to get into OO using a stylesheet (XSL) and data (XML).
By chance which way do you go to get the OO file? - Bernd Eilers (from this list) suggested http://odftoolkit.org/projects/odftoolkit/downloads for the purpose of getting the OO file (your doc file). Bye ~pasquale
