Hi Carsten,
I think it is great that you are trying to move the OOPM project ahead.
Just to get teh whole picture, I read the wiki page on which it says:
.................
Right now the work on the requirements specification for a prototype has
started (issue 57601
<http://qa.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=57601>) and each
wish/requirement has its own issue which you can see on the wishlist for
OOPM Tool <http://oopm.openoffice.org/initial_analyze/wishes.html> - if
you have an opinion or interest in some of the issues then please write
a comment.
The initial development of a prototype will start soon.
There is also a discussion going on at the mailing list
[email protected]
<http://oopm.openoffice.org/servlets/ProjectMailingListList> with the
subject "Develop from scratch or merge with another PMT project".
................
I saw that the wiki page is from 2005 so I don not know if there is
indeed any active project going on.
In issue 57601 there is a promising text from Claus from Feb 2009. It's
been a while since that issue was updated, but he is possibly busy with
his day job and not able to volunteer as much. One must always keep that
in mind and not get irate. I have cc'd him on this message so perhaps he
can give us an update if possible.
/------- Additional comments from cs <mailto:[email protected]> Fri Feb
6 12:09:25 +0000 2009 -------/
During the next couple of days I will create new issues with the wishes you all
have written to this issue.
Thank you.
Claus Agerskov, co-lead/owner, OOPM subproject
.............
I am also cc'ing Stefan Taxhet who can possibly give you a developer
role or at least check in to how to get the project off the back burner
if possible.
HTH and good luck with OOPM,
Liz

Now, since I got no reply from the OOPM project lead, I wonder where I
would have to apply for actually getting a developer's role on that
project?
Is there someone here, who is so kind as to point me into the right
direction, since the online help on the OOo project pages are not
actually helpful, since, as initially stated, I cannot request any
additional project roles using the tools on the site.
TIA

Hi all over @ the oopm project,
and especially the project owner/lead, Claus Agerskov.
I wonder why the project is still on hold and why there has not been
any response to my inquiries, especially on getting a project role
that lets me actually do something. Being an "observer" for years now
does not provide for actually committing stuff to the project, except
for perhaps
adding information to the wiki.
Is there a chance, that you, Claus, will actually be attending and
leading this project as it is supposed to be?
Besides that, I cannot request any project roles on the site anymore,
perhaps someone has disabled this feature for the oopm project?
I am rather frustrated at this time, with no feedback whatsoever on
the mailing lists and so on. What is going on with you guys?
Regards
Carsten
