It seems that you want to do some OOo hacking on Windows. So, the first step is to do an OpenOffice.org build. We recently updated the documentation for that: http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/Documentation/Building_Guide If you have any issues with the docs, please come back to this list. Once you finished your first build successfully you can think about where you want to start working. Working in the Writer or Calc code might be a little bit hard for starters, but we have a lot other modules to pick from. :-) If you want to start in the framework project we surely will find some tasks for you, I also think that Eric's suggestion to start with http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/Education_Project/Effort could be a good idea.
