Dear Developers - I have come across font artifact: in Impress, I have a presentation that uses the Centaur font at 48pt. I don't have this font. On Windows XP Pro, PowerPoint renders it as a bold-ish serifed font. Impress renders it sans-serif, unless I Select the text; then the font is serifed and looks like the PowerPoint rendering. This happens to affect layout of the slide. Where would I look to see why the "edit/select" version is different from the non-edit/select version? Oh, and the document is "read-only".
Additional note: this artifact occurs with the released 3.1.1 on Windows (XP). On Linux (CentOS 5.2), with release 3.1.0, I do not see the font "switch" to the serifed version and back; instead, it stays sans-serif (and too big/bold) in both views. Whatever hint Impress is taking that the font should be serifed is "correct", and I'm trying figure out how best to make this happen, short of buying the missing font. Thanks, -Del p.s. - PowerPoint tells me the font is "Centaur" and "48", while both Windows and Linux versions of Impress leave those fields blank. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [email protected] For additional commands, e-mail: [email protected]
