hi,
.
seems an interesting project. And as everybody else said Extension is the
right option for you.
.
its been a great learning experience with OpenOffice.org since i joined for
a project under summer internnship 2010. hope you find the same. Best of
luck. :)
and still the source code you downloaded can be used for .pro builds in the
final stages.. ;) nothing wasted.
one more thing which could be helpful is:
http://svn.services.openoffice.org/opengrok
its the search utility to search in the openoffice source code,, if you ever
have any doubts about usage of any interface or class, then search that in
the source code, someone must have used it somewhere, you can get the clue
about its application...
.
you can also see my project page,, i am also building an extension,, you
might get some more clues from there..
http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/OpenOffice.org_Internship/Projects/2010/Customizable_html_export_for_Impress
.
