Hi Jean-Sébastien,

I am the framework project lead and pleased that you want to join us to make OpenOffice.org better. OpenOffice.org is a very large project and the sources use many advanced C++ features. Therefore it's good that you want to extend your C++ knowledge. Books depend on personal preferences therefore recommendation are always subjective. We would recommend:
- The C++ Programming Language by Bjarne Stroustrup
- Programming: Principles and Practice Using C++ by Bjarne Stroustrup

You can find general information on how to participate developing OpenOffice.org here:
http://contributing.openoffice.org/programming.html
http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/Development

You can find many more information about the framework project here (it includes a rough overview, tasks, articles and tutorials).
http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/Framework

First of all I would recommend to download and build OpenOffice.org by yourself. The OpenOffice.org building guide covers many information on how to setup your system.

If you want to discuss framework specific topic please use the [email protected] mailing list. It makes sense that you subscribe to the main developer mailing lists:
