Hello,
I have a question if you could help me.
I need to install openOffice-3.3.0 on Sparc-solaris2.8 machine;
I have downloaded some source of openOffice-3.3.0 tool from
http://download.openoffice.org/other.html site ,
but in my installation I need to change the way to the installation
path. I saw that the defaultdir for openoffice is " /opt ", but I
really need to change this location to another one.
So, :
- I downloaded the archive: *
OOo_3.3.0_Solaris_Sparc_install-wJRE_fr.tar.gz*
- I dezarhivate the archive :
* gunzip -c*
/opt/swe/install/*OOOo_3.3.0_Solaris_Sparc_install-wJRE_fr.tar.gz | tar
xvf -*
- So, it will be created this directory, that will contain:
*/ $ cd
/opt/swe/install/sparc-solaris2.8/openOffice-3.3.0/OpenOffice/OOO330_m20_native_packed-1_fr.9567
$ ls -al
total 458
drwxr-xr-x 6 igladm motus 512 Jan 17 19:22 .
drwxr-xr-x 3 igladm motus 512 Mar 22 07:39 ..
drwxr-xr-x 5 igladm motus 512 Jan 17 19:23 installdata
-rw-r--r-- 1 igladm motus 431879 Jan 17 19:22 JavaSetup.jar
drwxr-xr-x 2 igladm motus 512 Jan 17 19:22 licenses
drwxr-xr-x 53 igladm motus 1536 Jan 17 19:23 packages
drwxr-xr-x 2 igladm motus 512 Jan 17 19:22 readmes
-rwxr-xr-x 1 igladm motus 14627 Jan 17 19:22 setup
-rwxr-xr-x 1 igladm motus 3925 Jan 17 19:22 update/*
- After I have done this, to start my intallation:
*
/usr/openwin/bin/xterm -display /ip/:0
export PATH=/opt/swe/tools/ext/sun/jdk-1.6.0/sparc-solaris2.8/bin/:$PATH*
*cd
/opt/swe/install/sparc-solaris2.8/openOffice-3.3.0/OpenOffice/OOO330_m20_native_packed-1_fr.9567
./setup
/
- And then, after I have run ./setup the installation of OpenOffice have
begin, but it will be installed in his default path.
And I really need to change this location, to change the installation
way. But I don't not which options I have to give
to "./setup" command to do this.
/*
Could you please help me with this information's ,and tell me which is
the method to change the installation path to openOffice-3.3.0 tool ,
on a sparc-solaris2.8 machine ?
Thank you,
Best regards,
Simona PASCA
