Hi David, I'm on Virgin (for the moment anyway, may change soon) in Cambridge (as you know)and have had no such described problems with uploads, so I wouldn't rush to blame Virgin. Is it a time of day thing? Ie, do you do uploads at a peak time?

But the connection failing in the first place could still be. Not having a BT phone line, it would be hard to switch from Virgin, though having a 2.5M upload speed would be very attractive - though I suspect my exchange distance wouldn't support the full speed.
