If anyone is really interested in it, it might be a good oppurtunity to do something with the present data of OSM (by means of Tiger) and the update algorithms in Mapgenerator[1]. In that way one can import new data over old data and get updated roads while maintaining its properties. If the data gets out of a certain threshold it can branch off in a new direction itself.
