I have not, and I bet the other 99.9% of our user base did not too. Looking at the slippy map screenshot, it is not even what I mean ;) Just a basic 'linestyle' outline will give the user a direct idea what is present (the world) in front of him and how it is presented (white lines, black colour) to him.
