Okay, I also got another idea from Jochen: having the weekend at LinuxHotel in Essen, Germany. First available option would be the 2nd weekend in Sept, however this would coincide with a big Dutch OSM meetup, so 3rd weekend in Sept would be the first opportunity for that option.
The other option could then be to tie it to the OSMFAGM (I'm a sucker for acronyms, yes) in the last weekend of Aug. I'll make a table on the wikipage so all could indicate their preference.
