-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA512 Hi,
I have created a patch for OGR that allows direct usage of the OpenStreetMap data (with normalised tables) inside Mapserver. This effectively means that the database I have is able to display instant updates of the data without any database format conversions. This would also allow minutely diffs to be inserted (by super useruser, to maintain timestamps + userinfo) directly into my Alternative API server that operates on the same *non-spatial* dataset. I wrote an article in Dutch on this matter: <http://translate.google.com/translate?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.openstreetmap.nl%2Farchives%2F79-Maar-dat-kan-mn-zusje-van-21-ook!.html&hl=nl&ie=UTF-8&sl=nl&tl=en> Now I don't want to discuss how useful (or not) in is, because it is part of a bigger project that must show what kind of data storage for GIS is efficient.
