Thanks for that. Related to this, in osmarender, the name= tag for the landuse areas currently only renders for z17. I guess this is because some landuse areas might be quite small, so labelling them at lower zoom levels would be a bit pointless as the label would be larger than the area. On the other hand some areas are quite large, such that if you zoom into z17 then the label for the area may well appear somewhere off your screen. An example: http://www.openstreetmap.org/?lat=52.10996&lon=1.07187&zoom=17&layer s=0B00FFF I'm guessing it isn't at all easy to determine the size of a given area and introduce labels earlier if the area is larger, but thought I’d ask.
