Hi, This question follows from a discussion on t...@osm where someone has created the functionality to change the transparency of the osm mapnik layer and google maps layer.
The Google maps layer is much more vibrant in colour than the osm, with richer blues for the sea and bigger contrast between colours. It makes the mapnik layers look washed out. I have setup my own mapnik server, but have been struggling with getting the osm.xml stylesheet right. Does anyone have an osm.xml file which looks more vibrant in colour than the default mapnik one? Is there the functionality in the osm.xml file to give the same road type in different countries different colours? E.g. Motorways in the UK are always blue, but in most of Europe are orange.
