something like: var myLayer = new OpenLayers.Layer.XYZ( "My Layer Map", "http://tiles.domain.com/a${x}_${y}_${z}.gif", { sphericalMercator: true } ); might do the trick. There are also other ways to do this, e.g. use an OSM layer or a TMS layer.
