Oh dear, not a simple issue of missing fonts or syntax error in the
stylesheet, then.
Do you at least find some tiles in the tiles dir you set in the config?
Are you running the latest version from svn? Are your other components
up to date?
I had a similar problem, and the only way I could get it working again
was to reboot, it's been fine ever since.

OK i'll try that, thanks. Before though I'll do what Lennard said and
try and render the tiles with generate_tiles.py to see if there's an
issue there.
