"DB access - There is no way to specify a user's password with
osm2pgsql. So you either have to set your DB's authentication mechanism
to 'trust' for the user/all users or work around it by creating a
password file. See the postgreSQL documentation on how to do this."
As far as I understood osm2pgsql nowadays supports this feature. Quoting
from osm2pgsql -h:
-U|--username Postgresql user name.
-W|--password Force password prompt.
Or does the wiki refer with "user's password" to the operating system users?
