Could OSM use a loading status display like I use on my test page
(http://www.orpatec.ch/osm/tools/main.php)? If you want you may copy the
LoadStatus control at http://www.orpatec.ch/osm/LoadStatus.js";. It simply shows
a Ajax-Loader.gif in the upper left corner of the screen (see
http://www.orpatec.ch/osm/custom.css).
