Whitespace formatting of osmosis and original planet is identical.
So the difference here could be the changeset section.
osmchange does not indent the node,way,relation lines but indents the
others with six spaces.
So untagged nodes will take up less space, tags more. I did not count
the whitespace but hope now that the difference of 2GB is due to these
whitespaces. At least the explanation sounds plausible.
