i am really happy to see this post, that you succesfully installed mapnik on
windows..
I have been trying to install mapnik on windows 7... still no luck..
the documentation sucks on these 2 links provided..

Is there any other good doc to install mapnik on windows or am I left with

As Dane mentioned in his post on this thread, Mapnik 2.0 is not
available for Windows yet. Except for the MapQuest style, 0.7.1 should
probably still work with most of the styles.
