Dear all, thank you to everybody that has given me feedback so far. To give an overview what changes have been proposed I have collected them on the page http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Talk:Overpass_API/Augmented_Diffs
Please add further suggestions there or comment the exisiting ones. I'll make the final decision for the first Augmented Diff format based on the answers written there. To avoid confusion: This is not a voting procedure. It's still dictatorship by the implementer (but of course you could fork Overpass APIs Augmented Diffs), but I'm open to compelling arguments, mostly use cases that ultimately work/don't work on a certain change.
