At the last OWL hack weekend there was an idea to have a replication-like stream from OWL to external applications which would give an (extremely) augmented changeset stream. Based on that it would be easy to build things like real time live changeset visualization or activity stream.
At this point this is just an idea waiting in the pipeline as we need to get OWL up and running first :-)
