I'm running Osmosis Version 0.34 to pull and apply minutely updates to my database for use by mod_tile/renderd. These updates began failing today with the following information:

sudo apt-get install osmosis

Any hints on the command to update osmosis? I'm a *nix newbie, but very good at following cookbooks and instructions.

Which version of Ubuntu / Debian are you running.

Both Ubuntu 12.04 LTS and 12.10 have osmosis version 0.40 packaged. Debian testing and debian unstable also both have an osmosis versions newer than 0.34.

What version of osmosis is necessary for 64 bit ID handling? If necessary, I can add a newer version of osmosis to the launchpad PPA repository like to from switch2osm.org
