Also, can you expand on the idea of recoding just timestamps. Nowdays every device has GPS. The only benefit I see is saving battery with dedicated GPS logger... You would need subsecond precision time on the device running OpenSurveyor - can you read that off GPS sensor? Network based time sync?
How is the JOSM plugin going? I would like to do an end-to-end test.
