Hi, interesting work. Maybe there's a way you can automate that and offer it as a module for Nominatim so people who would like to use "guesswork postcodes" as a better-than-nothing alternative could activate that in Nominatim.
Similar things have been done before e.g. for the UK https://github.com/chfw/pc2shape and http://random.dev.openstreetmap.org/postcodes/. Importing your "guesswork postcodes" to OSM is not possible I'm afraid.
