The Resin guys have another JSR-299 container called CanDI.

Another thing which we need to change: I believe our default 
MetaDataDiscoveryService is the Standalone one. So you need to have the 
beans.xml as a marker in the classpath. There is also a 
WarMetaDataDiscoveryImpl which can be configured in openwebbeans.properties (or 
openwebbeans-default.properties) and then the beans.xml will also be picked up 
from WEB-INF.

We are really flexible (imho more flexible than Weld) but currently one has to 
'package' and configure OWB himselfs, which can be really hard. I already 
thought about introducing 'bundles' like standalone, servlet, geronimo,  with 
pre-packaged pom dependencies to all necessary plugins and all SPI services 
configured correctly.
