We released optiq-0.8 on 2014-06-27 and we intend that to be the last
non-Apache release. I propose that the next release be optiq-0.9, and be made
under the [Apache
process|http://incubator.apache.org/guides/releasemanagement.html].
There is a lot to do.
I anticipate that the release will take a few weeks, and I do not want to block
feature development. I propose that we create a "stable" branch and develop the
release on it. Feature development can continue on the "master" branch. The
"stable" branch can be deleted after the release is complete.
We may (or may not) decide to rebase from "master" to "stable" when the release
is ready to ship. (Even though that makes it impossible for others to merge
that branch.)
