Hello, I am ready to start work on https://github.com/apache/orc/issues/1518 - Cleanup unused members.
Started looking into and was thinking about what would be the best way to address this. For example 1. How do we identify the API's that are not used (run code inspection? ) 2. What steps can we take to ensure that we don't affect any downstream, like do a local build of from a specific branch or some other way? Let me know your thoughts and I can start creating JIRA's to track it further. Thanks Ash
