You need to run 'make install' after your next 'cvs update'.
With this change, all the Descriptor code is now in C, enabling yet again more performance gains. Simple attribute access is 4 times faster than it was this morning and is now very close to python attribute access.
On my Mac, the timings are 0.7us for python attribute access vs 0.9us for simple Chandler attribute access.
