In case you won't be able to check in all your current changes in time for the move to subversion, I would advice you to do cvs diff (create patch) of you current work *now*.
You can then apply that patch into your newly fresh svn tree tomorrow and continue almost uninterrupted. This just in case we run into any trouble about doing cvs diffs after cvs has been made readonly...
