Don't know how much it matters to you, but FC4 uses gcc 4.0, which is considered by some to be on the, uh, aggressive side. For example, you can't compile the stock Linux kernel with it (at least I couldn't, and others too apparently). If you're all-Python maybe it doesn't matter ...
