As Brendan noted in an earlier posting our build fails when it is building libxml2 with a boat-load of error messages about bad aliases.

After doing some research I found the following bug entry for FC4: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=152425

It basically notes that the version of libxml2 we are currently using has some compiler specific features that previously only generated warnings but now generate hard errors. The bug posting also mentions that the latest version of libxml2 has worked around the issue.

Basically this means we will either need to upgrade to the latest libxml2 or not use gcc 4.0.0 which is now default for FC4. My initial thought is that I need to upgrade our libxml2 and have Andi take a look to make sure it doesn't break any repository code -- I would rather not move backwards to work around this.

Anywho, just an FYI to anyone thinking of upgrading to FC4 soon.
