Folks, Some progress on the wxPython front:
1) new Mac toolbar. Check it out: it's all-native, with labels, alpha blending and a few other nice features. Mimi provided some nice new images to make it look sweet. Our implementation isn't part of wxWidgets yet, but it has been submitted to the wxMac maintainer and will be used (whole or some large portion thereof) in the final, official wxWidgets version.
2) John's patches for his wxGrid features and bug fixes have been submitted and are getting positive reviews from the wxWidget community. We expect that they will be adopted.
3) wxPython v2.6.1 is integrated on my Mac, for all 3 platforms. Some inactive new files have already been checked in. I'll be checking it in after the v5.05 milestone.
4) the "internal/wxPython-2.5" subdirectory will be renamed after the v5.05 milestone. New name is TBD.
5) the new wxWidgets book is up on Amazon with an availability date of 04-July, although it's not shipping yet. Check it out (watch out for line breaks):
