After today's IRC session (from 11AM-noon PST): http://

I thought I'd send out a Journal wiki page I'd written up for a Ted a
few weeks back about how Chandler photos might get flickr-ized and
exported/uploaded to the flickr website.

I think ultimately, we'll want something a little more integrated
into the main window of the app, but in the near term, it might be
appropriate to handle this kind of workflow the way Apple iPhoto
does, with a separate dialog window. (Which is similar to the way
In the future when the Sharing workflow gets integrated into the main
app window via a Sharing / Collection detail view, we can do
something similar with flickr-like workflows as well. In other words,
to the user flickr is just another upload destination, same as Cosmo
or any other sharing server.
This model could also be extended to subscribing to and syndicating
content via RSS, receiving or broadcasting Podcasts, etc...
The idea is that the "transport" mechanism is simply another facet of
content items in Chandler, not necessarily something that defines
what Kind of item it is in the first place.
So a flickr-ized photo is a Photo that has been uploaded to flickr.
But flickrPhoto is not on equal footing with Photo as an Subject noun.
This allows us to maintain Chandler Kinds as pure, user concepts that
are agnostic to a particular technology.
