Brian Kirsch - Email Framework Engineer, will lead a discussian on the ongoing
internationialization effort in Chandler.

Since our last Internationalization office hours, OSAF has made much
progress towards the goal of supporting localizations of the Chandler 1.0
release. With the removal of parcel.xml, the translation infrastructure has
been re-architected with simplicity in mind. Throughout the app code base and
testing framework significant improvements have been made to ensure that we are
on target for 1.0.

Speaking of 1.0, last week the team clearly defined the i18n road map
for the release. The details can be found at:
http://wiki.osafoundation.org/bin/view/Projects/InternationalizationProject.

So whats on tap for the irc office hour?

First, Brian will cover the recent simplifications to the i18n architecture
and the progress made so far migrating resources, deprecating the old locale
directory, creating the new and improved i18n package, and updating the
Chandler code base.

Next OSAF developers who have been working on adding i18n functionality will
talk about what they have done, including issues run in to and how they solved
them.

And finally, Brian will address some undecided i18n issues with the team and
open up the forum for suggestions and feedback. Undecided issues include the
role of the doc attribute (will it require translation?), how to determine
whether a displayName attribute requires translation, and message catalog
organization.

Of course we will pause for questions and feedback through out the discussion.
