I made a big long writeup on the xul/chandler prototypes. I didn't emphasize this but I should: these demos are VERY deceptive -- they don't behave right at all, the calendar isn't even hooked up to the repository, and they don't implement the bazillions of edge cases and rules that have seen so much time investment for 0.6 -- those ones you don't anticipate then forget about once they're done. And to say nothing of the nightmarish build issues! The vast majority of my time was spent on that.
The writeup is here: http://wiki.osafoundation.org/bin/view/Journal/ChandlerAndMozillaDemos If you want instant gratification (of which there is no such thing in actual software, only demos): (1) alec's xul mockup, viewable on firefox 1.0: http://svn.osafoundation.org/sandbox/brendano/chanzilla-alecf/chanzilla.xpt (2) the svg calendar, viewable on the alpha firefox 1.5: http://svn.osafoundation.org/sandbox/brendano/mockup/svgfun.xml -Brendan _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ Open Source Applications Foundation "Dev" mailing list http://lists.osafoundation.org/mailman/listinfo/dev
