Everyone seems to be able to make it, but I forgot to specify a time.
Lets say 1pm PST, or right after lunch, whichever is later - I'll assume
that time is good, just reply if you can't make that time. (And john
we'll call you, send me your number privately)

I'll be in Utah next Monday and could call in. I'm also here on
Thursday if that works for everyone.

So I think there has been enough general interest in the idea of
CollectionGrid for us to sit down and contemplate what this would be
about.
I'd like to suggest that those who are interested in talking about
this (Me, Bryan, Katie?, John, David? Reid? anyone else is invited)
get together Monday to just sketch out some ideas on the whiteboard.
The idea would basically be just to answer questions, and flush out
some of the details that me, or bryan, or katie may or may not have
thought about.
The meeting will basically be to answer a few questions:
1) Whats involved in making our own grid, about up to the level of
functionality and appearance of the current grid.. at least very
roughly - This will start with us making a list of the features we'd
need, and then we'll sketch out some of the implementation issues
with boxes and lines and stuff.
2) What state would we be in when 1) is complete, vs. the current
grid - i.e. what flexibility would we have gained from all that work?
3) Risks? What big unknowns are there that might end up turning this
into a giant mess?
The hope is that by the end of the meeting we'll at least lean one
way or another: "man, that's just too much work for very little gain"
or "wow, this won't take that much work for a real gain in flexibility!"
