Ok, as of r9008, this work is done. The calendar should hopefully be
about 1% faster for basic drawing calculations, and is now far more
flexible about columns and column placement. In addition, the "Week"
column is now a fixed width rather than proportional to the other
columns. Its ok to start filing bugs against calendar display again :)

This, unfortunately, is a pretty nasty affair since there are a lot of
assumptions in the calendar that the first 8 columns are all more or
less the same identical width...
I'm going to do this in stages, so that I can use subversion to help me
in case I dig myself into a hole during one of the stages. But this
means for the next week or so, you're going to see lines and events
lozenges and columns that get misaligned by anywhere from 1 to 7
pixels, depending on how wide your window is. Please bear with me and
don't file any bugs against slight misalignments in the calendar until
I send out another e-mail. Thanks!
