Does it make sense to check in an updated flickr parcel on 0.6.1?
Should these cleanups lead to any documentation changes or short
writeups that might be useful to sprinters at PyCon?
I think it does make sense to check in flickr for 0.6.1. Feeds is very
similar to flickr and could benefit from similar simplifications. The
documentation should probably also be updated. to match the new simpler
code.
A follow up to this conversation: we decided *not* to make big changes
to flickr, feeds, or any other example parcel for 0.6.1. When Ted
investigated this more closely, it would have required pulling in enough
changes that it would risk the stability of 0.6.1.
As Ted mentioned, PyCon sprinters will have the choice of using 0.6.1
(more stable & documentation matches), or going with the "bleeding edge"
and working off the trunk. Sprinting "coaches" need to be aware that the
code is different on the trunk and on the 0.6.1 branch.
Cheers,
Katie
