High level Summary:
- we'll go with Alec's proposal. For a list of risks and issues, see the
Wiki page here above.
- we continue to experiment with John's proposed widgets as a way to add
tricks to our wx bag but not for Dashboard
- Alec is the driver of the Dashboard feature in 0.7
