That is a good question - perhaps what we need is a really bare bones 0.6 -> 0.7alpha1 upgrade path (i.e. script, that you run when starting chandler) for now, and then as schema evolution gets smarter, we make more and more of that happen automatically?

We could start by just being very very dumb - Open the database and if the SCHEMA_VERSION is "121" (what it was in 0.6) then we do a few manual upgrades, and then bump the schema to whatever it is for 0.7alpha1. Then we start the rest of chandler.

Has the repository format changed? If so, it may be difficult to do this (i.e. essentially export from an old repository using newer code).
