I remember that a couple of years ago, we observed trouble with c++ iterators in the Windows port. So far, we've never seen this occur on any Linux-based installs. But now I wonder: could this be what is happening in the issue above? Some help with assessing if that could be the case would be great, maybe we can prepare a patch for testing to see if that remedies the problem? That might be the least effort way to approach this?
