Hi paimon team,

I'd like to propose a 2.1.1 patch release for an Iceberg compatibility bug
in 2.0.0 and 2.1.0.

With Iceberg compatibility enabled, the snapshot summary that Paimon writes
undercounts total-data-files, total-records and total-files-size, and they
can drop to 0 while the manifests still have live files. Iceberg readers
that rely on these fields can decline to refresh the table, so users of
Iceberg compatibility can't safely upgrade to 2.x until a release includes
the fix.

The fix was merged to master in
https://github.com/apache/paimon/pull/10575 (issue
https://github.com/apache/paimon/issues/10574). Tables that already have
wrong totals are corrected on their next commit. The backport to
release-2.1 is https://github.com/apache/paimon/pull/10644. It cherry-picks
cleanly, and the Iceberg tests in paimon-core and paimon-iceberg pass on
the branch.

If there are other fixes that should go into 2.1.1, please reply to this
email. I'm happy to help test the release candidate.

Thanks

Best,
Karan
