+1 for releasing Apache Parquet 1.7.0 RC1. Verified checksums and signatures, ran RAT, checked for errant binary files, checked the git source tag, checked LICENSE and NOTICE.
Nit: DISCLAIMER should be removed now that Parquet has graduated. Also, the README should be updated to reflect the latest version.
