I had the same issue described above and also had issues building the complete
tree.
The solution that worked for me was to build a specific part of the tree, as
below

mvn -pl
:parquet-generator,:parquet-common,:parquet-jackson,:parquet-column,:parquet-encoding,:parquet-hadoop,:parquet-tools
clean install
