I believe the 1.10.0 has just been released, so this will liekly land in the
next "major" release, unfortunately I am not aware of any plan to have a new
release in the near future.
For the `ProtoParquetWriter` class, we have discussed it with @costimuraru
and we will add a constructor with the flag in a future PR but I can't commit
on a timeframe.
