Hi team, I just wanted to start a discussion on a Parquet AI tooling policy, given that coding agents are increasingly being adopted for code changes.
This continues from the earlier thread, on formalizing the AI policy as suggested by Micah. While AI tooling can accelerate contributions, if PRs contributors find it hard to justify design or implementation choices/or get involved in the review, it may introduce unnecessary risk and increase reviewer overhead. Having a documented set of guidelines would help authors/reviewers align on best practices for a safe review/merge process. I went through the existing ASF policy and other projects, and put a draft here (comment access is enabled), would love to get your thoughts and suggestions.
