Some members of the community are still sending mail to the old google groups
list, but some of the discussions seem to have been neglected a bit, such as
this one here

I think an auto-reply should be added to the old list to tell people to post to
the apache list instead, and for members that post on the web forum interface,
a message locked to the head of the list should tell people about the Apache
JIRA.
